I grew up in Las Vegas, NV and graduated from UNLV with a B.A. in Film Studies. After graduation, I wanted some sort of creative career in entertainment so moved to California but ended up falling in love with teaching. For years, I had an active family life with my two boys, but after earning a M.A. in History and surviving the Covid era
I grew up in Las Vegas, NV and graduated from UNLV with a B.A. in Film Studies. After graduation, I wanted some sort of creative career in entertainment so moved to California but ended up falling in love with teaching. For years, I had an active family life with my two boys, but after earning a M.A. in History and surviving the Covid era, I decided it was time to continue my artistic pursuits and moved to Atlanta, GA where I am inspired by the art scene every day.
I love colorful canvases, warm oranges and cool blues in particular. Color alone has the power to draw viewers from across the room. Originally I wanted to be an impressionistic painter but couldn't quite bring myself to complete broad strokes that suggest activity and backgrounds. So far, most of my work is based on positioned diagonals that create space and depth. I want to encourage the viewer to look far into the distance of my scenes as if they were there and could see around my characters. I like power lines, layered street signs, and using light to convey perspective. I consider my style to be linear with pai
